Police investigate alleged murder of Chinese woman

Police have commenced investigations into accusations by the family of the Chinese woman who went missing while snorkelling near Bandos, that she was murdered.

The case on the Chinese billionaire who went to Bandos Island Resort for a holiday with friends, was filed to Police by her husband.

A Police Media Official has said that investigations are under way into accusations that she was murdered, and that it is not possible to provide details.

Subsequent to the case being filed to the Police by her family, the Court issued an order prohibiting one of the men, also a Chinese national, accused of the crime from departing the country. Immigration Department has also said that they are investigating his departure in spite of the Court order.

The Chinese woman went missing on 6 December, while snorkelling near Bandos with some people who came with her for a holiday in the Maldives.
