Thailand’s Rajanukul Institute offers scholarships to Maldivian students

The Rajanukul Institute of Thailand has offered scholarships to Maldivian students.

The scholarships were offered during a visit by Maldivian First Lady Fazna Ahmed to the institute on Wednesday.

The Rajanukul Institute, run under the Thai Department of Mental Health, is a multi-specialty hospital in Bangkok aimed at advancing and improving the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

According to the President’s Office, Fazna met with senior officials of the institute during her visit, who offered three scholarships for Maldivian students to enroll in the Mental Health Care in Children and Adolescents program.

The program commences in January 2023.

Fazna is in Thailand to attend festivities held in honor of the Thai Queen Mother's 90th birth anniversary.

As part of her visit, she attended the opening ceremony of the third International Thai Silk Fashion Week on Tuesday. The event was part of festivities to mark the Thai Queen Mother's birth anniversary. Fazna also attended the presentation of the Thai Silk designs by Maldivian fashion designer Jaadhulla Ismail on Wednesday.
