Maldives Super Transfer Service (MSTS) Watersports, which provides watersports services in multiple resorts in Maldives, is collaborating with the British Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation (BWSW) to launch the first tow sports instructor course in Maldives.

The course was inaugurated by head of Champa & Crown Resorts Mohamed Moosa (Ucchu) in a ceremony at Kuredu Island Resort & Spa on Wednesday.

According to MSTS Watersports, the course is taught by experts from BWSW.

MSTS Watersports said the biggest purpose of the course is to teach the youth working in watersports in the tourism sector to safely conduct tow sports and teach tourists such sports.

MSTS’ head Maseeh Imad said the course will also help boost the confidence of the youth involved in watersports, and prove the field has a future.

10 people from the eight resorts MSTS provides services to are participating in the course, which will continue until October 25.

MSTS said they plan on conducting more courses in the future, and that it will be open to people working in the watersports field.
