World Food Day: Wellness Matters plants seeds in 415 locations

Local NGO Wellness Matters planted seeds in 415 different locations on Sunday, under its ‘Plant a Tree’ project to celebrate World Food Day.

Wellness Matters said 32 schools, 345 private citizens, seven institutions, and 42 islands participated in the project.

Seeds were planted in 300 homes in N. Manadhoo alone, said the NGO.

Wellness Matters donated over 41,000 seeds to grow trees in 415 locations.

Wellness Matters said the project was conducted with support from multiple partners, including Education Ministry, Gender Ministry, Local Government Authority, local councils, schools, and private citizens.

Wellness Matters was founded by Zulfa Naseer, who wanted to share her experience in a wellness program she took by WellnessExpert Malaysia with her friends and family.

Wellness Matters states they have helped bring positive changes to the lives of over 5,000 people. The NGO has several ongoing projects including, 21 Days Fit Challenge, Makeover Project, Nutri Station, Plant a Tree Project, Wellness Matters Donation, and Corporate Social Responsibility Project.
