Police summon Zuhair, his wife, and Hamid

Police have sent notifications to summon Henveiru-dhekunu MP Hamid Abdul Ghafoor, former Press Secretary Mohamed Zuhair and his wife Mariyam Faiza to the Police Office.

Police Spokesperson Sub-Inspector of Police Hassan Haneef said today that Hamid has been requested to attend the Police Office at 3:00pm today, and Zuhair and his wife at 12:00pm, for the investigation related Hondaidhoo.

Hamid has been summoned to the Police for this investigation on a previous occasion as well.

Haneef said that work is under way to summon Kaashidhoo MP Abdullah Jabir as well.

Jabir and former Special Advisor to the President Ibrahim Hussain Zaki were among several people who were arrested in Hondaidhoo under suspicion of drinking alcohol.

Police released two Members of Parliament and other suspects when Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi Court decided that they cannot be held in detention.

Police said that large amounts of drugs and alcohol were found in Hondaidhoo.
