Hulhumale' Development Corporation (HDC) on Friday announced commencing rent collection from the tenants of Hiya Flats in Hulhumale’ Phase 2.

According to the announcement by HDC, they have begun collecting rent from Saturday, April 2 onwards.

Moreover, the announcement detailed that payment can be made to the HDC collection counter as well as through their “payment portal”.

A special counter has been allocated at the main office of HDC, which would be accepting payments in cash, cheque and card.

For those paying online, tenants can log into their “myhulhumale” web portal and pay rent.

In addition to this, HDC highlighted that currently, payment can only be made via a card from the Bank of Maldives (BML).

Although people started moving into the flats in August 2021, this marks the beginning of rent collection. With MVR 7,500 as rent and a maintenance fee of MVR 1,000, tenants have to pay a total of MVR 8,500 at the moment.
