COVID-19: HPA reports 323 new cases in Maldives

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Saturday, announced 323 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 172,270.    

According to HPA, of the new cases; 20 cases are from the greater Male’ region, 269 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 21 cases from operational resorts. 

Meanwhile, 518 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 157,389.    

With the new developments, Maldives now has 14,571 active cases.      

There are 8 patients in hospitals.      

2,179 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours, including 295 samples from the greater Male' region.

March 5: 323 cases 

March 4: 298 cases 

March 3: 535 cases 

March 2: 459 cases 

March 1: 463 cases 

February 28: 560 cases 

February 27: 484 cases 

Maldives has recorded 297 COVID-19 deaths.
