Two candidates apply for the post of vice chancellor at MNU

The Maldives National University (MNU) today has reported that two candidates had applied for the post of Vice Chancellor at the university, following announcement for application.

According to Mr. Hussain Haleem, the deputy Vice Chancellor, the two candidates are Dr. Hassan Hameed, the present Acting Vice Chancellor of MNU and Dr. Ali Fawaz Shareef, the present Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic at MNU.

Mr. Hussain Haleem said the presentation on the vision of the university by both the candidates would be on Sunday night at MNU.

According to Mr. Hussain Haleem the presentations will be evaluated by a special committee and the committee will prepare a report on the presentations to the University Council. The Vice Chancellor will be elected by the University Council after considering the report, Mr. Haleem said.
