HDC marks conclusion of annual apprenticeship program

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) held a special ceremony yesterday to mark the conclusion of its annual apprenticeship program.

The program was completed by 54 apprentices – who received their certificates yesterday.

Ceremony to handover the certificates was held at Hulhumale’ Schwach Cinema – which was special guested by Minister for Higher Secondary Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan.

The program was conducted for a duration of four months – in which participants were trained in six areas. The areas include heavy vehicle operation, welding, masonry, gardening, electrical and construction.

During the ceremony – HDC reiterated its commitment to provide development opportunities for youths in multiple areas.

They also thanked the assistance provided by four local companies in conducting this year’s program; Alia Maldives, iNOCA Private Limited, FW Constructions and Muni Enterprises.

HDC also added that they would be providing employment opportunities with the company for the most talented apprentice out the graduates – as they can accommodate.
