Man arrested in Dhuvaafaru with illegal substance

The Police have arrested a man in Dhuvaafaru, Raa Atoll, after he was seen with a rubber-packet suspected to contain illegal substance.

The police said that the person is male, of age 33, and declined to provide any more information about him.

The police said that the suspect was arrested in an operation conducted by Dhuvaafaru Police Station, while he was at Dhuvaafaru West Harbour, and that he was checked after being brought under police control. The packet was found in his short pockets.

The matter is now being investigated.
