Safety measures against COVID-19 in place at Kulhudhuffushi City have been strengthened following a spike in cases.
Former Kulhudhuffushi Council member told Sun that due to the deteriorating situation on the island – safety measures in place have been strengthened starting from yesterday.
Some of the new measures include a ban on hanging out in groups on the roads and going swimming in groups as well.
Additionally, going to parks are not allowed – whereas parks have been closed as well. There is also a ban on visiting other houses subject to that there is no important need to.
A total of 51 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 from Kulhudhuffushi so far.
