May 6 blast: Two of the three suspects released rearrested

Two of the three suspects released yesterday under the orders of the Criminal Court have been rearrested.

The suspects released yesterday were three of eight suspects arrested in connection to the IED attack outside the residence of Parliament Speaker, former President Mohamed Nasheed on May 6.

The reason for the court's decision to release the three suspects has not has disclosed.

However, the police confirmed today that two of the three suspects who were granted release by the Criminal Court were rearrested under a court order last night.

Their identities have yet to be disclosed by the police.

Police have only released the identities of five suspects arrested in connection to the case; Ahmed Adhuham Rasheed, 26, Hiyaa, GDh. Thinadhoo; Mujaz Ahmed, 21, Ma. Feyruge, K. Male’; Thahmeen Ahmed, 32, Folheyma, GA. Kondey; Ahmed Fathih, 23, Dhunfini Ufaa, L. Gan; and Ali Haisham, 27, Nooreege, N. Manadhoo.
