COVID-19 patient dies in Thinadhoo, death toll rise to 213

A COVID-19 patient admitted at GDh. Thinathoo Covid Management Facility has passed away this afternoon at 13:55.

Sun is able to confirm the identity of the latest COVID-19 fatality as a 70-year-old male.

His death has increased the number of COVID-19 fatalities in the Maldives to 213.

This is the second known COVID-19 related death today and is the third death recorded amongst patients admitted at GDh. Thinathoo Covid Management Facility. 

As of June 30, Maldives has 73,798 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 138 new cases recorded on Wednesday. 69,974 patients have since recovered.

The country currently has 3,602 active cases out of which 28 patients are hospitalized.
