Attorney General’s Office provides legal counsel on 532 matters from Jan-June

Attorney General’s Office states it provided legal counsel to state institutions on 532 different matters within the first six months of this year.

AGO released its statistics from January 1 to June 30 this Thursday.

According to the statistics, state institutions requested legal counsel on 520 matters, and the AGO provided legal counsel on 532 matters during the period.

DETAILS OF LEGAL COUNSEL BY AGO (JAN-JUNE):

  • Legal counsel regarding ratification of legislature: 12
  • Legal counsel regarding agreements: 154
  • Legal counsel regarding regulations: 107
  • Legal counsel regarding policies: 18
  • Legal counsel regarding conventions: 2
  • Other: 239

AGO said  the legal counsel provided it provided during the period also included matters pending from last year, and regulations drafted and submitted by the AGO at its own initiation.
