More arrested in relation to terrorism activities

Several more individuals have been arrested in relation to terrorism activity. 

Police said that the operation conducted by the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) and Police saw the arrest of several more individuals from Hulhumale'. Three people were arrested from Hulhumale' in the operation. 

The police operation was started after the May 6 terrorist targeting ex-President Mohamed Nasheed. Police have not, however, confirmed that those arrested were connected with the May 6 attack. 

Four people were arrested in connection with the May 6 attack. 

An operation carried out in Addu City also saw seven arrested.
