A foreign school teacher working in Sh. Lhaimagu School has been suspended for social media posts against Palestine.

The teacher who is from India, was suspended today after the School received complaints regarding the conduct.

Lhaimagu School Principal Mohamed Fayaz, speaking with Sun said that the male teacher's case had now been forwarded to the Education Ministry which would make a final decision on the matter.

"We have informed the Ministry of the matter. The Ministry will take a decision on the case. He is now in suspension," said Fayaz.

Speaking further, Fayaz said that the teacher had made social media post on May 16 and later deleted it. Some local media have reported that the teacher worked as a Chemistry teacher at Lhaimagu School.

The case comes on the same day that the Hanimaadhoo School suspended and requested the Education Ministry to send back an Indian Leading Teacher working at the School for making similar offensive comments on social media supporting Israel.
