F. Feeali placed under monitoring mechanisms

F. Feeali.

The island of F. Feeali has been placed under monitoring mechanisms due to COVID-19 cases. 

Feeali Health Center stated that four cases of COVID-19 were detected from the island. The four cases were not connected with anyone in home-quarantine on the island according to the center. 

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has ordered monitoring mechanisms upon the island and contact tracing is now underway on the island in relation to the cases. 

The case detection in Feeali comes in the midst of a surge in virus cases detected from inhabited islands across the nation. Currently, there are 23 islands under monitoring. 

The total number of cases detected in the country last night reached 30,237, since confirming the first case back in March 2020.
