Kudahuvadhoo placed under monitoring mechanisms

The island of Dh. Kudahuvadhoo has been placed under monitoring mechanisms after positive cases of COVID-19 were identified in the island. 

Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) said that the island was placed under monitoring mechanisms after six people working in the Kudahuvadhoo airport tested positive for the virus. 

According to HEOC, the island was placed under monitoring mechanisms for contact tracing and case investigations to determine the cause of the cases. 

HEOC also said that the six individuals were tested for the virus because they became symptomatic.
