Go Air to recommence Maldives' operations in November

Indian budget airline, Go Air is set to recommence operations to the Maldives on November 1. 

The airline had previously conducted flights to the Maldives before cutting short due to the travel restrictions that came as a result of COVID-19. 

The airline will recommence operations between Male’ City and Bangalore, Mumbai as well as New Delhi when to restarts. The flights will be held up until January. 

  • Mumbai-Male’: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
  • New Delhi-Male’: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday
  • Bangalore-Male’: Saturday, Thursday, Sunday and Wednesday

India's Vistara held a chartered flight to the Maldives today. Indian airlines Air India, Spice Jet, and Indigo has also recommenced operation to the Maldives. 

Maldives’ national carrier Maldivian has also recommended operation between the two neighboring nations. The operations were recommenced under a travel bubble established between the nations. 

A number of airlines have recommended operations to the Maldives for the tourism season. India is an important tourist source market for the Maldives. Tourists arriving to the Maldives are required to present a negative PCR test for COVID-19 taken no less than 96 hours before their departure.
