The Parliament’s General Purpose Committee has decided that the salary of the late Ungoofaaru MP Dr Afrasheem Ali, of MVR62,500, will be provided monthly to his wife and three children.

The Committee decided to divide the salary equally among the four members of the family. Afrasheem’s wife, Guraisha Mohamed will receive one fourth until she remarries, and the children Ayyoob Afrasheem, Rumaisha Afrasheem and Ayyash Afrasheem will receive one fourth each until they turn 18.
