Indian laborers that arrived in the Maldives to work on the police academy in Addu City have tested positive for COVID-19.
An HPA official said to Sun that the workers that tested positive were in quarantine. The number of workers that tested positive remains unclear.
Further information on the positive cases will be revealed in a press conference tonight, according to HPA.
Addu City has previously reported a few cases of the virus. The cases were from individuals in home-quarantine.
