AG Office appeals Gadhdhoo Magistrate Court Order

The Attorney General’s Office has today filed an appeal case with the High Court of the Maldives against a Court Order issued by the Gadhdhoo Magistrate Court, ordering Attorney General Abdullah Muizz to present himself in the Court.

The High Court of the Maldives has scheduled the first hearing of the appeal case for 9:15 tomorrow.

Gadhdhoo Magistrate Court issued an order asking the AG to present himself in court on Monday this week, after the Court’s request for an attorney to represent the State at a hearing against the Pension Office went unheeded, said the Court.

The case at Gadhdhoo Magistrate Court was filed by an ex-civil servant to secure what the plaintiff regarded as violated pension rights.
