COVID-19: Maldives records 24th death

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced the death of a 41-year old female due to COVID-19.

HPA said in a tweet that the deceased, the 24th COVID-19 death in the Maldives, was being treated at IGMH. Her death was recorded at 09:34 this morning.

An official from the Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) said the deceased was a comorbid patient.

Until last night, Maldives had confirmed 5,909 coronavirus cases, out of which 3,488 have recovered. Some 2,400 cases are still active, and 148 of them are being treated at hospitals.
