India permits transport of COVID-19 items to Maldives

The government of India has permitted the transport of items purchased by the State Trading Organization (STO), to combat against COVID-19, to the Maldives.

The Indian High Commission in the Maldives said that the transport of items had been halted due to the travel restrictions in place due to the spread of the virus. 

The High Commission said that the items have now been permitted for transportation. 

Items include masks for children and adults as well as air compressors. The exact date for the items to be transported is not yet specified.
