Two special flights to repatriate Maldivians in Malaysia scheduled

Two special flights to repatriate Maldivians in Malaysia has been scheduled.

National carrier Maldivian said that the flights are scheduled for June 15 and 17. 

National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has said that those returning via the flights would undergo the mandatory quarantine policy.

Many Maldivians frequent to Malaysia for different purposes. Countless Maldivians also travel to the country for educational purposes. Maldivian said that the isolation and quarantine arrangements for people returning will have to be made. 

Maldivian has previously conducted special flight repatriation flights to Sri Lanka as well as Malaysia. Malaysia and Sri Lanka have since loosened travel restrictions which were imposed due to COVID-19.
