ATM centers open for people with permits

Services of ATM centers situated in Male’ City wil be available for people with special permits and those authorized.  

The 24-hour lockdown on Male’ City and its suburbs Hulhumale’ and Vilimale’ took effect at 3:30 pm this Wednesday, and followed the first positive COVID-19 case in the populous capital.

The national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced all its service centers and branches will remain closed for the duration of the lockdown with the exception of ATMs.

However, those with permits issued by the authorities would still be allowed to access ATM machines. People who register with the authorities to go outdoors will also be allowed to use the ATM machines. 

BML has urged its customers to gain access to its services online.
