Maldivian government has just confirmed two positive cases of the Covid-19 tested in the Maldives.
Government spokesperson Mabrook Azeez made the announcement at a news conference currently underway. The positive cases were two people from a boat named Island Safari.

All of the above resorts are in a state of monitoring by the government which has also temporarily halted the transfer and stay of tourists in guesthouses in the Male' city area. The Maldives has also imposed temporary travel restrictions on Bangladesh, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, China and two regions of South Korea as well as Iran.
Travel between islands by tourists has also been temporarily halted and the government has announced a 30-day period of public health emergency that has seen schools, colleges, and universities shut down. Parks, recreational areas and public squares in the Male' city area have also been temporarily closed as part of the stringent measures.
