Fijian Fisheries Minister in Maldives on official visit

Fijian Fisheries Minister Semi Koroilavesau has arrived in Maldives to attend the 34th session of the INFOFISH Governing Council.

The 34th session of the INFOFISH Governing Council will be chaired over and hosted by Maldives.

It will be held from December 16 – 19.

INFOFISH is a regional intergovernmental organization for marketing information and technical advisory services for fisheries products in the Asian and Pacific region. It was originally launched in 1981 as a project of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.

INFOFISH currently has 13 member nations. They are:

• Malaysia
• Pakistan
• Papua New Guinea
• Philippines
• Solomon Islands
• Sri Lanka
