252 recommendations regarding agreements by AG Office in 10 months

The Attorney General’s office (AG Office) has stated that it had advised different government organizations on 252 matters related to agreements during the last 10 months.

Statistics published by the AG office show that the office had advised government institutions on 763 issues from November 17, 2018, to September of 2019. The office had advised and made recommendations to the President regarding 25 bills and had advised on 252 agreements as well as legal advice for 97 regulations.

The office also gave legal advice on 48 issues related to policy in the government’s ten months in office as well as advice regarding 11 conventions proposed to take part by the Maldives.

The AG office did not provide details regarding the matters it advised on. However, it does publish recommendations it gives regarding matters of public peace.
