Minister to L. Atoll for tourism development discussions

Tourism Minister Ali Waheed left to Laamu Atoll to hold discussions to develop the tourism of the atoll.

Ministry of Tourism stated that the Minister will hold discussions on the challenges of tourism development faced in habited islands, as well as ways to guesthouse business in the islands.

They also noted that Minister Ali Waheed will be meeting the Atoll Council, island Councils and investors of the atoll.

Ali Waheed will be visiting, L. Fonadhoo, L. Baresdhoo and L. Kahdhoo during his trip.

“Purpose of this trip is to gain recommendations and ideas to draw the outline of policies needed to develop the tourism in Laamu Atoll,” stated Tourism Ministry.

Managing Director of Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC) Mohamed Raid as well as officials of Tourism Ministry and MITDC will be accompanying the Minister on this trip.
