Not satisfied with CNI

Former President Mohamed Nasheed’s representative in the Commission of National Inquiry (CNI), Gaha Saeed has said that he is not satisfied with the CNI’s draft report.

Saeed said that the draft report does not include parts of several interviews obtained by the CNI.

“The report drafted by Judge Selvam somewhat contradicts our experiences. From the way the report is now, it’s a bit misleading,” Saeed said.

He however mentioned that the draft report was prepared by all the members of the CNI.

Saeed said that work is under way to include points which have been left out in the report.

Saeed made these statements moments ago in front of Muleeaage. Police are currently trying to control the crowd which gathered in the area while Saeed was giving this short interview.

Member of Parliament Mariya Didi expressed concern on behalf of MDP following Saeed’s comments; while MDP Spokesperson Hamid Abdul Gafoor said that there is still time to complete the report.
