Award letters being issued to those selected for student loan

Ministry of Higher Education has begun issuing award letters to Maldivian students selected for the higher education student loan scheme.

Award letters will be issued from Ministry of Higher Education from January 28 to February 28 between 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Speaking during an earlier press conference, Director-General of Ministry of Higher Education announced that 315 out of 650 applicants have been selected for student loan scheme announced on August 13, 2018.

The student loan interest rate has been lowered by three percent and the payback period has been extended by the current administration.
