Khadeeja Shabeen appointed as the Deputy Attorney General

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Khadeeja Shabeen as the Deputy Attorney General.

After her appointment, the President presented the letter of appointment to her at the President’s Office.

The President’s Office said that Khadeeja Shabeen was appointed as a State Minister under the authority of the President via Article 115-F of the constitution.

Khadeeja Shabeen attained Master of Laws from National University of Singapore and completed Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from University of Melbourne.

She was working as a freelancer in the legal sector before her appointment and has previous work experience at the President’s Office, Attorney General’s Office and several other legal firms.
