Cargo boat wrecks on reef outside Kanduoiy Giri

A boat carrying cargo from Male’ City to K. Kuda Villingili has wrecked on a reef.

Maldives National Defense Force (MDF) reported the boat, Naazu, was carrying wood to Kuda Villingili when it wrecked on the reef outside Kanduoiy Giri this Wednesday.

There were three people onboard the boat when the incident took place, all of them unharmed, reports MNDF.

MNDF said the Coastguard are working on hauling the boat off the rocks.
