Two ATR planes join Manta Air fleet

Two planes of the model ATR 72-600 model have joined the fleet of Manta Air, the new domestic flight operators to begin service in the Maldives.  

Aviation website, HMG Aerospace reported that the two planes purchased by Manta Air will be delivered before the end of the year.  

The aviation website reported that first aircraft will be introduced in November 2018, with the second planned to join Manta Air fleet before the end of the year. The airline said the new aircraft will ensure improved connectivity between the Maldivian atolls according to HMG Aerospace.

He added that they are introducing two brand new ATR-72-600 aircrafts to the Maldives which demonstrates the airline’s dedication to high standards and commitment to the best levels of service.  

Manta Air will initially be operating from Velana International Airport to three domestic airports; Kudahuvadhoo airport in Dhaalu atoll, Dharavandhoo in Baa atoll and Thimarafushi in Thaa atoll.
