The deadline to submit application forms for the Hiyaa Housing Project has been extended to August 31.
The announcement was made by Minster of Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during a press conference held this Thursday afternoon.
Muizzu said the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure suspended issuance and collection of application forms from Dharubaaruge last Wednesday night. He said issuance and collection of application forms will resume again next Sunday, from the ministry headquarters.
“Form collection will be suspended for three days. During the three days, the setup with be shifted [to the ministry] and will be resumed once its settled. We have made special arrangements on the groud floor of this ministry for this,” said Muizzu.
Muizzu said the ministry has so far received 4,767 applications and that ministry officials are analyzing the applications.
He said the ministry made the decision to extend the deadline to allow as many interested applicants to submit forms as possible.
Muizzu added that construction of all towers which will be built under the Hiyaa Housing Project has now begun.
