ADK gives meritorious awards to staff

ADK Hospital, second largest healthcare provider in the Maldives, has held a special function last night, to give out meritorious awards to staff who were selected for remarkable services as employees of the hospital.

Gold Performance awards were given to five staff, while Silver Performance awards were handed over to three staff.

Dr. Nuha Abdul Quddus was given the award of Employee of the Year for her outstanding services as a doctor at the hospital.

In addition, Dr. Srivasan Krishnan, Nursing Supevisor Mariyam Shaziyya, Physiotherapist Karen Placido Paujibo, and Cook J. Abdul Majeed were given Gold Performance awards. Senior Admin Manager Nazima Abdul Ghani, Senior Customer Manager Sharafiyya Mohamed, and Laboratory Technician Vasanti Sundar obtained Silver Performance awards.

Speaking in the function, Managing Director Ahmed Affal said that the newly introduced awards would be given out each year, and that the management of the hospital would select employees to whom awards would be given.

“We will do a performance appraisal in determining who are eligible for the awards”, said Affal. He also said that factors such as attendance, punctuality and the quality of work done by the staff would be taken into consideration in finalizing winners of the awards.

A club, by the name of “We Care” founded by nurses working at ADK Hospital was also launched during last night’s function.
