The fishing boat “Concord” which went missing with 25 Maldivians on-board has been located.
The boat was reported missing to the MNDF Coastguard’s Maritime Rescue Coordination Center at approximately 9:20 am this Monday.
MNDF’s information officer, Captain Ibrahim Azim confirmed the fishing boat has now been located. Azim said the boat was located by a Coastguard speedboat 22 miles to the west of Addu City.
“The boat is now travelling towards Addu City,” said Azim.
“Concord” departed on a fishing trip from Maradhoo, Addu City at approximately 6 pm last Friday.
