Supreme Court ruling amended not to release political figures

Supreme Court ruling on Thursday has been amended not to include the release of nine political figures.

The amendment was made in a Supreme Court ruling tonight. The court issued the initial ruling on Thursday with the unanimous vote of the five Judges of the court including the Chief Justice, Abdulla Saeed.

Last night, police arrested the Supreme Court Judge, Ali Hameed and the Chief Justice into their custody in relation to an ongoing investigation.

The court order issued tonight with the signatures of three Supreme Court Judges omitted the release of the political figures mentioned in the order on 1 February along with the part that says the Judicial Service Commission cannot investigation any case regarding the Supreme Court judges.
