Janaah heads newly established Building and Construction Board

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has established Maldives Building and Construction Board to develop the Maldivian construction industry.

Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure reported this Monday that the Board was established on January 7, in accordance with Article 5 and Article 6 of Construction Act.

The Board is made up of seven leading professionals in the construction industry.

Chairman of Hotels and Resorts Construction (HRC), Mohamed Ali Janaah has been assigned Chairman of Maldives Building and Construction Board. Janaah also served as President of Maldives Association of Construction Industry (MATI) for a long period of time.

Other Board members are:

- Fathimath Shaheen, Dhaftar no. 8087

- Ismail Ibrahim, G. Rosary West, Male’ City

- Abdulla Mohamed, G. Galolhufehi, Male’ City

- Ali Shuhail Mohamed, M. Fengas, Male’ City

- Mohamed Shafeeq Mohamed, M. Poppy, Male’ City
