WAMCO announces special service for disposal of large items

WAMCO has announced plans to introduce a special service to dispose large household items.

WAMCO has announced the new service, CAPS Lite, which falls under WAMCO’s Call and Pick-up Service (CAPS) will be launched in February.

Large household items – which the current service does not cover - have been divided into three categories and can be disposed of at a low price using the new service.

Category 1 items can be disposed of for a fee of MVR 25.

Category 2 items can be disposed of for a fee of MVR 50.

Category 3 items can be disposed of for a fee of MVR 75.

CAPS Lite service will be available every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

“Sometimes, what happens is items like tables and mattresses are kept out on the streets. This is because of the high cost that has to be incurred to dispose of such items. Because you have to spend MVR 250 or MVR 300 to dispose of such items. CAPS Lite is being introduced to provide a solution to the problem,” said WAMCO.
