SATA 2018 open for nominations

Nominations have been opened for the third edition of High Rise’s prestigious South Asian Travel Awards (SATA).

High Rise reported to “Sun” that companies operating in the travel and tourism sector in the South Asian region have the opportunity to submit nominations online for SATA 2018 from January 15 to March 15.

Companies have the opportunity to apply for awards from 36 categories in 10 segments.

SATA is the only award of its kind held with cooperation from tourism stakeholders from the South Asian region, and the judging panel consists of regional tourism experts, says High Rise.

- Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Sri Lanka

- Colombo Chamber of Commerce

- Confederation of Associated Tour Operators, India

- Liveaboard Association of Maldives (LAM)

- Association of Professionals in Tourism, India

- Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC)

- Nepal Tourism Board

- Association of Travel Agents, Maldives

- Kerela Hotel General Manager Club

SATA 2018 is scheduled to be held in India in October.

Maldives won 24 prestigious awards at the SATA 2017 which was held in the Equator Village of Addu City. Sun Online has been the online media partner of both SATA 2016 and SATA 2017.
