MNU hosts stakeholder workshop to include Green Building concepts in their programs

Maldives National University (MNU) has started a stakeholder workshop to include Green Building Concepts in MNU Architecture Programs.

At a ceremony held at the SHE Building today, the workshop was inaugurated by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Ajwad Mustafa.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ajwad called to the participants to share as many ideas as possible to for the workshop to be a success.

He said that today's session in the workshop is focused on informing state institutes and the session tomorrow will be for private companies.

Ajwad said that the main target is to reduce the energy production from oil since the Maldives is highly dependent on oil.

The two day workshop is being conducted in association with Strengthening Low Carbon Energy Island Strategy project.
