Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) has rescinded the suspension on attorneys Hisaan Hussain and Ibrahim Riffath – who were among the attorneys suspended for petitioning for reform of the judiciary at Supreme Court.
DJA announced this Sunday that it has rescinded the suspension on Hisaan and Riffath, and that they are now authorized to practice law at the courts.
The petition for judicial reform, signed by 56 attorneys, was submitted to Supreme Court on October 30. However, the court had not accepted the petition on that date.
21 attorneys had gone to Supreme Court to hand over the petition and protest for judicial reform. The attorneys suspended by DJA includes attorneys who had not been at the protest on October 30.
