Security guard at Hithadhoo SBI stabbed

A security guard on duty at the State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Hithadhoo, Addu City has been stabbed with a knife.

Senior community health officer at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, Mohamed Najeeb reported to “Sun” that the security guard was brought in at 4:30 am, this Wednesday. Najeeb said the security guard was of Bangladesh nationality.

Najeeb said the security guard had a three-inch-deep stab wound on his shoulder, but no other injury.

He has been discharged from the hospital after treatment.

Police media official said the stabbing was reported to the authority at 4:20 am. He said the authority was working on the case, and disclosed no further information as it is an ongoing investigation.
