Indian Ocean’s tourism hub, Maldives is in the running for World’s Leading Destination award.
The world’s most prestigious hospitality award, World Travel Awards’ Final Gala is scheduled to be held in Vietnam on December 10.
Maldives has won a number of international travel and tourism awards since shining in the World Travel Awards: Indian Ocean Edition.
Maldives has never won the highly competitive – World’s Leading Destination award. The award last year went to Dubai. Maldives and 16 other countries are in the running for the award this year. The countries include Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, America and Jamaica.
Maldives has won the World’s Leading Beach Destination award for two years in the running now. And has been nominated for the award this year as well.
Additional categories Maldives is competing in includes; World’s Leading Green Destination, World’s Leading Dive Destination, and World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination.
