Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) reports it completed investigations into 265 cases during the third quarter of this year.
In a statement released this Tuesday, ACC said it completed investigation and forwarded seven cases for trial during the third quarter, which it said was a 57.74 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Statistics show ACC completed investigations into a fewer 167 cases during the third quarter of 2016, and sent only two cases forward for trial during the period.
ACC reports it completed investigation into a total of 815 cases during the first three quarters of this year.
The commission said it ruled 258 cases out of the 265 cases investigated during the first quarter of 2017 did not involve corruption.
It said 64 parties were sent 82 recommendations for improvement in connection with investigations conducted during the third quarter of this year.
