The hospital is trying to arrange for the woman in intensive care after the traffic collision in Hithadhoo, Addu City to be transported to Male’ City for treatment as soon as possible, reports Addu Regional Hospital.
The traffic collision took place between two motorcycles near the shop “Checkmark” located in the Hithadhoo main road last Tuesday evening. Police reported four people were injured in the accident.
Three of the four injured are in stable condition, while one remains in intensive care.
Manager of Addu Regional Hospital, Mohamed Najeeb reported to “Sun” that the hospital was trying to arrange for the woman’s immediate transport to Male’ City for treatment. He said the woman has suffered extensive head injuries.
“We are trying to send her. The woman is still in unstable condition. She has head injuries and there’s no choice but to send her to Male’ for treatment,” said Najeeb.
Najeeb said three more accident victims received treatment at the hospital, and that they were all fine.
