Travelers advised to brace against possible bad weather

Sea travelers have been advised to take precautions as Maldives Meteorological Service forecasts scattered rain and thunderstorms over the country.

MMS’s weather forecast for this Wednesday says surface winds will vary between south-west and westerly at 7 to 13 miles per hour in the northern atolls, and 13 to 23 miles per hour elsewhere. Winds are expected to gust 40 miles per hour during showers.

Seas are expected to be moderate in northern atolls and generally rough over the rest.

Sea travelers are advised to take necessary precautions by ensuring all safety requirements are met.
