Special program on tsunami with UNDP and Japan

UNDP has said that a special program on tsunami is set to be held in November in association with the Japanese government.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the tsunami drill in Gaafu Alifu Villingili, Ambassador Enzo Kadomi said that the special program on tsunami set for November 2017 is an awareness program for the public.

While students from six high schools in the Maldives is taking part in the 18-country drill, one teacher would also be joining the program.

UNDP said that a total of 550 students and 100 teachers took part in the ten-day tsunami drill in Gaafu Alifu Villingili.
